Rio Tinto’s alumina production in the third quarter of 2020 was 7% higher than the same period of 2019. This was due to higher production at both Pacific refineries, considering a planned major shutdown at Yarwun during the quarter.
Alumina production stood at 1.954 million tonnes in Q3. On a quarter-on-quarter comparison, the output registered a decrease of 2%.
