Refractory market saw a slight decline in 2013: iAbrasive
According to the analyses, the price of refractory materials shows a downward trend in 2013 due to the changes in electrolytic aluminum industry and environment protection policies enacted at the beginning of the year. As a result, a 5.7% decline has been seen in the white fused alumina market and a 1.2% decline in brown fused alumina market when comparing with the price in 2012. However, the situation will turn better with the rebound in the global economy in 2014.
Generally, refractory materials, including aluminum oxide, flake graphite, bauxite, brown fused alumina, white fused alumina and black silicon carbide, are widely applied in such industries as steel, energy, automotive manufacturing, aerospace, military and defense, electronics, semiconductor, medical and health care, etc.
Founded in 2012, iAbrasive is an international e-commerce trade platform specializing in the research and sales of abrasives products, including abrasive grains, bonded abrasives, coated abrasives, superhard materials, super abrasives, diamond tools, etc.
