

Vedanta Limited has recently announced the appointment of Ravi Shahi as Chief Commercial Officer ( CCO) for its Jharsuguda aluminium facility. The facility is one of Vedanta’s key manufacturing locations, and the revision in the leadership team is directed towards business growth in the true sense of the term.
{alcircleadd}In his new role, Shahi will be responsible for strengthening the aluminium value chain and restructuring market-oriented strategies to nurture long-term commercial success. He will be coordinating multiple functions to ensure a smooth integration between upstream and downstream operations. Simultaneously, he will be leading operations for improving commercial rigour, efficiency and overall market responsiveness, as Vedanta looks for a stronger market position in the aluminium sector.

Shahi brings a strong background in industrial leadership and commercial management. Most recently, he served as Director of Fuel Security at Vedanta Limited. Over the years, he has held several senior positions across leading organisations, including Vice President at the LafargeHolcim Group and Assistant Vice President at Hindalco Industries Limited. His career also includes leadership stints at Hindalco Hirakud and UltraTech Cement, where he developed deep expertise in commercial strategy, materials management, sourcing and logistics.
Commenting on the development through a social media post, Shahi said he was pleased to begin his new role as Chief Commercial Officer for Vedanta Limited’s aluminium business at Jharsuguda.
