Rains affect Aluar's Puerto Madryn operations
The rains flooded electricity installations and affected the power supply from the Futaleufu hydroelectric plant as well as Aluar's own power generation capacity. The supply to some auxiliary and productive installations was severely affected, the company added.
Aluar is working to restore the operations.
In March 2011, Aluar launched installations at its Puerto Madryn plant, increasing the plant's annual production capacity to 460,000 tonnes.
