Today’s the day. Tata Motors has officially rolls out the refreshed Tata Punch EV, and it’s not just a cosmetic dab of powder. It’s a sharper, tech-smarter, range-confident upgrade to one of India’s most successful electric micro-SUVs.
{alcircleadd}Visually, the facelift keeps its upright, boxy charm but adds polish where it counts as suggested by multiple industry reports. The front fascia looks cleaner with a sleeker closed-off grille, updated bumper detailing and sharper LED DRLs. New aero-optimised alloy wheels give it a slightly more premium stance, while fresh colour options — including the eye-catching Sunlit Yellow and copper-toned accents — dial up the personality. It’s familiar, but fresher. Quirky, but more grown-up.
Step inside and the real glow-up becomes obvious. Higher trims are expected to pack a larger 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, paired with a 10.25-inch digital driver display. There’s wireless charging, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, connected-car tech and even a 360-degree camera. Word is, higher variants could also bring Level-2 ADAS into the mix — a big statement in this price band.

Under the skin, the Punch EV sticks to what works. Buyers can choose between:
25 kWh battery pack: Around 80 bhp and 114 Nm of torque, with a claimed range of roughly 315 km.
35 kWh battery pack: Around 120 bhp and 190 Nm of torque, stretching the claimed range to about 421 km.
There’s also industry buzz about a potential larger 45 kWh option in the pipeline, though official confirmation is awaited. For now, the existing range figures already make it a compelling city-plus-highway option.
Pricing is expected to stay in the competitive INR 1-1.5 million (ex-showroom) bracket, keeping it firmly in the sweet spot for urban EV buyers upgrading from hatchbacks or entering the electric game for the first time.
The 2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift car is expected to continue using a high-strength steel platform with targeted aluminium and lightweight components to maintain its 5-star safety rating and optimise range. While full specifications are scheduled to be unveiled on February 20, 2026, it features aerodynamic alloys and a redesigned front, focusing on efficiency, with potential for a larger 45 kWh battery pack for enhanced range.
The facelift doesn’t attempt a reinvention. Instead, it reinforces what made the Punch EV popular in the first place, compact footprint, SUV-like stance, practical range and approachable pricing, while adding tech and polish to keep it feeling 2026-ready.
