China’s A00 aluminium ingot price plunges by RMB200/t; Alumina price gains RMB6/t

On Friday, October 13, China's A00 aluminium ingot price nosedived by RMB200 per tonne to close at RMB 19,050 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 19,030 per tonne and RMB 19,070 per tonne. The spot contract price may be traded at a discount price of RMB 10 per tonne and a premium price of RMB 30 per tonne.

As per the data, the prices in Wuxi and Hangzhou have contracted by RMB 190 per tonne and RMB 180 per tonne to score at RMB 19,040 per tonne and RMB 19,050 per tonne. On the same day, the prices in Gongyi, Foshan and Tianjin have fallen by RMB 170 per tonne to reside at RMB 18,950 per tonne, RMB 19,030 per tonne and RMB 19,100 per tonne. Chongqing and Linyi's prices have decreased by RMB 160 per tonne and RMB 120 per tonne to clock at RMB 19,090 per tonne and RMB 19,250 per tonne. In Shenyang, the A00 aluminium ingot price has dipped by RMB 100 per tonne to reach RMB 19,100 per tonne.

The high-purity alumina price has gained RMB 6 per tonne, settling at RMB 2,974 per tonne. The prices in Shandong, Guizhou and Guangxi have added RMB 10 per tonne to peg at RMB 2,935 per tonne, RMB 2,965 per tonne and RMB 2,990 per tonne. In Henan, the price has increased by RMB 5 per tonne to rest at RMB 2,975 per tonne.

The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has decreased by RMB 149 per tonne to close at RMB 19,870 per tonne. The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have plunged by RMB 200 per tonne to halt at RMB 26,700 per tonne and RMB 27,700 per tonne. The aluminium powder price has inched down by RMB 0.2 per kg to stop at RMB 21.2 per kg, with the average prices standing between RMB 21.2 per kg and RMB 21.3 per kg.
