
LME aluminium opened at US$2,215 per tonne on Thursday, with its high and low at US$2,228.5 per tonne and US$2,195 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2,201per tonne, a decrease of US$12.5 per tonne or 0.56 per cent.
The LME aluminium live price chart on October 12 witnessed mixed price trends, with the LME aluminium cash bid price and the LME aluminium official price slightly rising by US$2 per tonne or 0.09 per cent and US$1.50 per tonne or 0.07 per cent to officially close at US$2,180 per tonne and US$2,180.50 per tonne.
{alcircleadd}If we consider the LME aluminium price on September 12, which was US$2,153 per tonne, a Month-on-Month influx of US$27.50 per tonne or 1.28 per cent can be seen in October.
London Metal Exchange graph displayed that the 3-month bid price and the 3-month offer price have discarded US$6 per tonne or 0.27 per cent and US$7 per tonne or 0.32 per cent to stop at US$2,207 per tonne and US$2,208 per tonne.
The December 24 bid price and the December 24 offer price have dropped US$5 per tonne or 0.21 per cent, settling at US$2,330 per tonne and US$2,335 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock recorded a fall of 2,000 tonnes or 0.4 per cent to finally settle at 490,650 tonnes. Live warrants stood at 193,300 tonnes, with no alterations recorded. Cancelled warrants plunged by 2,000 tonnes or 0.67 per cent to reside at 297,350 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price halted at US$2,219.03 per tonne, down US$2.39 per tonne or 0.11 per cent.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on October 13, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) aluminium price chart has shown descending numbers, with the official price halting at US$2,615 per tonne, having negated US$24 per tonne or 0.91 per cent.
Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2311 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,050 per tonne, with its lowest and highest at RMB 19,010 per tonne and RMB 19,080 per tonne before closing at RMB 19,030 per tonne, down RMB 65 per tonne or 0.34 per cent compared with the previous trading day.
SHFE 2307 aluminium added RMB 595 per tonne or 3.38 per cent to RMB 18,185 per tonne. The open interest fell 11,785 lots to 256,640 lots.
