China’s A00 aluminium ingot price drops by RMB90/t; Alumina price gains RMB6/t
On Thursday, August 3, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price dropped by RMB 90 per tonne to close at RMB 18,450 per tonne, with the average prices between RMB 18,430 per tonne and RMB 18,470 per tonne. The spot contract prices are expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 60 to RMB 20 per tonne.
The prices in Foshan and Linyi have dropped by RMB 70 per tonne and RMB 60 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,520 per tonne. As per the data, the prices in Gongyi and Chongqing have descended by RMB 50 per tonne and RMB 40 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,390 per tonne and RMB 18,550 per tonne. On the same day, the prices in Wuxi, Hangzhou and Shenyang have fallen by RMB 20 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,540 per tonne and RMB 18,500 per tonne. In Tianjin, the price has moved down by RMB 10 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,520 per tonne.
The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has dwindled by RMB 70 per tonne to reach RMB 19,176 per tonne. The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have plunged by RMB 100 per tonne to clock at RMB 25,900 per tonne and RMB 26,900 per tonne.
On the other hand, the average alumina spot price has gained RMB 6 per tonne to rest at RMB 2,887 per tonne. As per the data, the alumina price in Guizhou has ascended by RMB 10 per tonne to close at RMB 2,880 per tonne. On the same day, the prices in Shandong, Henan, Shanxi and Guangxi have moved up by RMB 5 per tonne to peg at RMB 2,845 per tonne, RMB 2,910 per tonne, RMB 2,900 per tonne and RMB 2,885 per tonne.
The Australian alumina FOB price grows by US$ 4 per tonne to come in at US$ 335 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has slumped by RMB 100 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,050 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 18,900 per tonne and RMB 19,200 per tonne. The price of aluminium powder has moved down by RMB 0.1 per kg to come in at RMB 20.2 per kg, with the average price ranging between RMB 20.1 per kg to RMB 20.3 per kg.
