As of October 22, SMM statistics show that the social inventory of aluminium ingots across the three regions in China stands at the 430,000 tonnes level, continuing to decline from the previous trading day, marking eight consecutive working days of destocking.
By region, Guangdong saw notable destocking, serving as the main source of the decline across the three regions; Wuxi and Gongyi held flat inventories with limited changes.
Overall, downstream cargo pick-up continued after the holiday, with inventories across the three regions steadily being absorbed, providing support for spot premiums. For complete regional inventory data, historical series, and detailed changes, please log in to the SMM data terminal.
