
The economy of Poland bounced backed strongly in Q3 after a sharp fall in economic activity in H1 2020. Real GDP grew by 7.9% Q-o-Q, primarily steered by a steep rebound in household consumption and a rise in exports, which empowered the trade balance. The economy pursued strong support into Q4 2020, but a surge in new Covid-19 infections and the reintroduction of restrictions to control the pandemic restrained the economic activity towards the end of the year, especially in the services sector.

The Central European nation, Poland recorded an import of 54,872 tonnes of aluminium cans during 2019-20 and the expenditure occurred for the import was accounted for $262.79 million.
In 2019, the import of aluminium cans remained at 29,630 tonnes and the expenditure counted was $138.75 million, whereas, in 2020, the import volume illustrated downfall by 14.80%, as the import volume dropped to 25,242 tonnes and the expenditure also dipped to $124.04 million.

Poland’s import of aluminium cans for 2021 has been analysed with a further drop of 14.36%, as the import volume is estimated to shrink at 21,617 tonnes and the expenditure to stand at $111.57 million.
The major trading destinations for Poland’s import of aluminium cans are Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Rep., China, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, etc.
