Peripheral development activities by NALCO

National Aluminum Company Limited has informed that the Company has been undertaking various peripheral development activities as part of Corporate Social Responsibility to enrich the quality of rural life in and around the areas of plant sites. The Company allocates 1% of its net profit for such activities.
Out of the allocated amount, 40% each is earmarked for mines and refinery complex, Damanjodi and smelter & power complex, Angul and the balance 20% is retained for corporate level activities. The Government of Odisha has constituted Rehabilitation and Periphery Development Advisory Committee for Damanjodi and Angul sectors separately which decides the projects to be executed and its estimates.
