OSC and Sohar Aluminum sign agreement for 15 year alumina transportation

Reportedly, Oman Shipping Company SAOC and Sohar Aluminum signed a 15 year agreement for alumina carry which will ship 690,000 tonnes of alumina to Oman from Australia.
Meanwhile, Sohar Aluminum’s annual aluminum production is at around 360,000 tonnes to 370,000 tonnes. The company’s raw materials are mainly from Australia.
According to the report by local Medias, the company is considering doubling its smelter capacity in the following 3 years.
