Norton Abrasives introduces Gemini XXL aluminum oxide depressed center wheels

Norton Abrasives, the world’s leading manufacturer of metal fabrication abrasives products for over 125 years, has introduced Gemini XXL, the fastest grinding 100% aluminum oxide depressed center wheels on the market. Providing 50% more life and metal removal than standard aluminum oxide wheels, Gemini XXL works best on hard-grade carbon steel applications, weld repairs, flashing and jobs that require a quick turnaround.

For example, in a field case study on right angle grinding long, light post welds, a 4-1/2” x ¼” x 5/8-11” Gemini XXL wheel was tested against a standard aluminum oxide wheel on a 4-1/2”, 10 AMP grinder. The Gemini XXL removed 43% more material and performed 106% better than a competitive wheel for an annual savings of over $5,700.

Manufactured in the U.S.A. in Norton’s Texas-based facility, Gemini XXL wheels feature quality aluminum oxide abrasive for consistent, maximum performance. They are available in ¼” Type 27 wheels in diameters ranging from 4 ½” to 9” and heights of 7/8” and 5/8-11”, ten SKU’s in total.
