
Nimir Industrial Chemicals Limited, an Oleo Chemicals and Chlor Alkali manufacturing company in Pakistan, has made an announcement to invest Rs1.25 billion to start an aluminium cans production facility.

According to a bourse filling, “[The] board of Nimir approved an investment of Rs1.25 billion for setting up a production facility to manufacture various types of aluminum cans for aerosol products. This will be a backward integration to the company’s state –of-the-art aerosol filling plant; and an investment of Rs190 million for the installation of Sulphate Removal System at Chlor Alkali Plant to reduce the operating cost.”
Nimir Chemicals is also known for producing hydrochloric acid, noodles, caustic soda, soap, glycerine, sodium hypochlorite, stearic acid and distilled fatty acid. They are also involved in a contract based manufacturing facility of toilet soap bars.
Nimir announced its financial year end result on June 30, 2021, revealing a profit of Rs1.06 billion with the earnings per share (EPS) of Rs8.88. Its net profits amounted to Rs2.05 billion and EPS Rs16.57, 93.3 percent more than the previous year.
The net revenue of the company during the reviewed year surged by 35.8 percent to Rs29.2 billion, compared to the Rs21.5 billion for 2020.
Other income also increased by 62.6 percent to Rs52.7 million for the Financial Year 2021, compared with Rs32.4 million in FY2020. But on the other hand, the finance cost decreased by 26.6 percent making it Rs8 million due to the existing low interest rule.
Nimir also announced a final cash dividend of Rs2 per share for the said year.
