
The economy of Switzerland grew by 1.8% in Q2 and stronger household consumption played a vital role as the easing of Covid-19 restrictions succoured reversed earlier declines.

In June 2021, the Swiss government raised its economic growth. It expects that annual GDP growth will attain 3.6%, up from its 3% forecast in March 2021.
However, Switzerland still counters a distressed fourth wave of Covid-19. The finance ministry has cautioned that further waves of the virus could develop significant risks to public finances and economic recovery.

The Central European nation driven by the economy of manufacturing industry, Switzerland imported 2768 tonnes of aluminium stranded wire during 2019-20 and the revenue it expended for the import accounted for $8.60 million.
The Swiss import of aluminium stranded wire in 2019 was recorded at 1491 tonnes and the expenditure occurred counted to $4.18 million, whereas, in 2020, the import exhibited a drop by 14.35%, as the demand slacked due to the pandemic and import volume dipped to 1277 million, while the expenditure climbed to $4.42 million.
The import for 2021 is evaluated with growth by 31.01%, as the import volume is expected to regain its pace and reach 1673 tonnes, expenditure to stand at $5.23 million.
Switzerland’s major trading destinations for the importation of aluminium stranded wire are Austria, Belgium, France, Hungary, Norway, etc.
