
National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has expanded the prices of its aluminium ingot and aluminium products with effect from Tuesday, December 1, following a cut last week on November 26. Since the latest hike on December 1, NALCO’s aluminium ingot price has come in at INR 173,850-177,350 per tonne, up by INR 5,600 per tonne or 3.33 per cent from INR 168,250-171,750 per tonne last week.

NALCO is also selling its aluminium wire rod at INR 5,600 per tonne higher at INR 177,350-181,700 per tonne, compared to INR 171,750- 176,100 per tonne on November 26. The company’s aluminium billets price is standing at INR 177,300-178,800 per tonne, also up by INR 5,600 per tonne from INR 171,700- 174,350 per tonne, as of November 26.
NALCO has increased its aluminium prices in line with the rallied global aluminium benchmark price on the London Metal Exchange. The three-month futures of aluminium on the London Metal Exchange rose by US$ 84 per tonne after November 26 to stand much above US$ 2,000 per tonne. As of Monday, December 1, the three-month futures of aluminium on LME stood at US$ 2045.50 per tonne. So, currently, LME aluminium three-month futures price is up by US$ 273.50 per tonne or 15.43 per cent since the beginning of 2020.
NALCO’s aluminium products and alumina account for nearly two-thirds of the company’s gross topline, while the sales of chemicals contribute to the rest. NALCO manufactures wire rods, billets, coils, and chequered sheets.
