
Italian car manufacturer Maserati is reportedly expected to launch Levante Trofeo in India by later this year. Comprising of 22-inch forged aluminium alloy wheels, the SUV weighs lighter; while its carbon fibre inserts to the rear, side skirts enhance the look. The car also sports matte paint scheme internationally, which is likely to come into the Indian markets as well.

The ‘Ultimate Maserati of SUVs’, as the company calls it, powers a 3.8-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine under the hood and churns out a whopping 590 bhp with a peak torque of 730 Nm. You can do a sprint of 0-100 km/h in flat 3.9 seconds, with the top speed limited to 300 km/h.
Besides the powerful engine, what differentiates Trofeo from regular Levante is its incredible styling. It comes with a sharper revised grille upfront, functional bonnet vents, and full LED headlamps.
The interior sees sports seats wrapped in Pieno Fiore natural leather in black, tan or red colour options, and features a large touchscreen infotainment unit which gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as connectivity features. It also gets a 17-speakers Bowers & Wilkens 1200 watt, surround sound audio system as standard.
Maserati already has a regular Levante for sale in Indian markets available in one diesel engine with 3 different states of tune - 271 bhp, 345 bhp, and 425 bhp. It prices between INR 1.50 crore and INR 1.59 crore (ex-showroom, India), while Trofeo would expectedly cost around INR 2.7 crores (ex-showroom) when launched in India.
