
Three-month LME aluminium began the week on Monday, November 23, with a 0.98 per cent fall to settle at US$ 1967.5 per tonne, with open interest rising to 726,000 lots. It is expected to trade between US$ 1950-2000 per tonne today.

LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price declined on Monday, November 23, by US$ 14.5 per tonne or 0.73 per cent to stand at US$ 1969.50 per tonne. 3-months bid price and 3-months offer price stood at US$ 1985.50 per tonne, decreasing by US$ 10 per tonne from US$ 1995.50 per tonne on November 20. Dec 21 bid price and Dec 21 offer price came in at US$ 2006 per tonne from US$ 2014 per tonne last week.
The LME aluminium opening stock extended downfall from 1399525 tonnes to 1395525 tonnes on November 23. Live Warrants hovered at 1232800 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants at 162725 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price stood at US$ 1991.00 per tonne, as of November 23.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE recorded a drop on Tuesday, November 24, by US$ 14 per tonne to stand at US$ 2397 per tonne.
The most-liquid SHFE 2012 aluminium contract finished the day 0.32 per cent higher at RMB 15,865 per tonne. Open interest fell 7,263 lots to 133,129 lots.
The most-liquid SHFE 2012 aluminium contract went down 0.44 per cent to settle at RMB 15,795 per tonne on Friday night, and is likely to trade between RMB 15,600-16,000 per tonne today.
