LME aluminium benchmark price gains $27.5/t; December 26 bid price adds $18/t

The LME aluminium price witnessed significant growth on August 7, with both cash bid price and official settlement price showing upward momentum.
As per the LME price graph, both the cash bid price and the official settlement price gained USD 27.5 per tonne to clock at USD 2,616.50 per tonne and USD 2,617 per tonne.
LME aluminium 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price surged by USD 26 per tonne and 27.5 per tonne to halt at USD 2,617 per tonne and USD 2,619 per tonne.
On the same day, December 26 bid price and December 26 offer price hiked by USD 18 per tonne to settle at USD 2,670 per tonne and USD 2,675 per tonne.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price inched up USD 1 per tonne to clock at USD 2,610 per tonne.
On the inventory front, LME aluminium opening stock settled at 469,500 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants closed at 455,275 tonnes and 14,225 tonnes.
The alumina platts price remained unchanged at 373.19 per tonne.
