
LME aluminium opened at US$2,193 per tonne on Thursday, with its high and low at US$2,199 per tonne and US$2,176.5 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2,196.5 per tonne.
{alcircleadd}London Metal Exchange's live price graph displayed that the 3-month official price has descended by US$10 per tonne or 0.45 per cent to close at US$2,196 per tonne on September 7.
The December 23 official price has dipped by US$153.75 per tonne or 6.53 per cent to settle at US$2,201.25 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock recorded a slump of 925 tonnes or 0.18 per cent to arrive at 501,475 tonnes.
Live warrants stood at 232,400 tonnes, with an extensive rise of 5,800 tonnes or 2.56 per cent. Cancelled warrants settled at 269,075 tonnes, with 6,725 tonnes or 2.44 per cent being taken away from it.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on September 8, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) aluminium benchmark price has lost US$3 per tonne or 0.11 per cent to settle at US$2,643 per tonne.
Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2310 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,175 per tonne, with the lowest and highest prices at RMB 19,110 per tonne and RMB 19,175 per tonne before closing at RMB 19,165 per tonne, down RMB 10 per tonne or 0.05 per cent from the previous trading day.
SHFE 2307 aluminium added RMB 595 per tonne or 3.38 per cent to RMB 18,185 per tonne. The open interest fell 11,785 lots to 256,640 lots.
