JimWalter Aluminum’s rolled product facility in Russellville receives GreenCircle certification

The Russellville, Arkansas, aluminum rolled product facility belonging to Jim Walter Aluminum, is the first to receive the GreenCircle Certified LLC’s Certified Environmental facts multiattribute certification, which ensures transparent and externally verified environmental data to the consumers in the main market supplied by JW Aluminum in Russellville.

In relation to the production of alloys at JW Aluminum’s Russellville plant, the GreenCircle certification from Pennsylvania will provide with environmental data, information about the carbon footprint, energy reduction, recycled content composition, waste diversion as well as energy reduction.

GreenCircle is a third party certification company that works by providing evaluation process designed to provide independent verification stating that the products and operation carried out by the organisation are verified, honest, and valid. GreenCircle is an ISO 17065 compliant, following the industry needs for companies confirming products, services, and processes. Furthermore, GreenCircle’s certified Environmental Facts label is acknowledged by the U.S. Federal Government as a recommended Ecolabel for all the federal purchasing. It is also recognized by the Green Building Council of the United States, Association of Plastic Recyclers, as well as the International Living Future Institute.

According to JW Aluminium, the main intention for partnering with GreenCircle is to carry out data verification audits, on-site inspection with suppliers as well as at JW Aluminum in Russellville. The certification will also help the customers understand and evaluate the environmental status of JW Aluminium.
