Embarking on a journey towards sustainability, Black Cow zero-waste vodka proudly joins Sustainaholics and Tourvest Retail Services to unveil its latest offering: a 100 per cent post-consumer recycled Alumini 5cl bottle. This eco-conscious creation is now soaring high on British Airways short-haul flights departing from London Heathrow.
{alcircleadd}Passengers can choose to pre-order this eco-friendly Black Cow vodka or purchase it on board from the High Life Café menu. Building upon its partnership with Tourvest Retail Services, which first took flight in November 2022, Black Cow continues to pioneer change in eco-friendly travel.
This milestone also signifies a significant achievement for Sustainaholics' Alumini bottle innovation, positioning it as a frontrunner in transitioning from traditional glass and PET containers to a greener, more sustainable future. As the second major UK airline to embrace the Alumini bottle, British Airways joins the movement towards reducing environmental impact while offering passengers a taste of excellence in every sip.
About Alumini
Black Cow co-founder Paul Archard said, "We are thrilled to partner with Sustainaholics on this venture. It's a fantastic opportunity to showcase how luxury and sustainability can go hand in hand, and we're proud to be at the forefront of this movement with our Pure Milk Vodka."
The Alumini is a lightweight, ultra-compact bottle crafted from 100% post-consumer recycled European aluminium. It is infinitely recyclable and represents a low-carbon, low-impact choice for environmentally conscious consumers.
Weighing less than half the weight of a full glass bottle (and a remarkable 90% lighter when empty), the Alumini's ultra-compact design serves a dual purpose. It not only reduces weight, making it easier to transport, but it also maximizes the potential for stocking and selling more bottles within the confined spaces available on board flights.
"We're delighted to launch Black Cow's Alumini on the High Life Café. Black Cow's zero-waste vodka look stunning in this iconic 100% recycled Alumini design: ultra-smooth vodka from a West Devon farm with authentic provenance, sustainably packaged, beautifully designed and tasting incredible. We now have Aluminis from a wide variety of independent eco-conscious brands listed on two of the biggest airlines in the UK and world, showing the transition to 100% post-consumer recycled aluminium is gathering pace," added Sustainaholics founder David Mills.
