An Italian start-up brand PSTV Motorcycles (Positive Motorcycles), has posted the first look of its prototype prepared for further R&D and public scrutiny. The construction of EGERA resonates with the company’s commitment to sustainability since it uses aluminium and natural fibre as base materials.
{alcircleadd}PSTV’s prototype EGERA sports an indigenously developed electric liquid-cooled engine and sturdy regenerative brakes. The battery permits a range of 100km, making the model extremely useful for short weekend trips or casual activities. In a quest to make the bike models sustainable and eco-friendly, the company has incorporated natural fibres and aluminium to make its robust framework. All bike components, including fibre or aluminium items, have been sourced and created locally in Italy.
The Como-based start-up PSTV Motorcycles has spent two sleepless years materialising the unique concept for public demonstration. The company boasts that the move will further stabilise Italy’s position in the bike-making industry, of which it had always been a master.
The PSTV professionals are striving hard to realise their dream and introduce the new bike model to the commercial market by 2024. But the prevailing geopolitical and global economic crisis is taking a massive toll on the automobile and logistical sectors. Until and unless there is some stability on the supply-chain front, the company cannot forecast a bright journey into the future.
PSTV has patented production technologies that help them to remain on the course of development the Italian brand has chosen. The motorcycle maker is well-known for keeping adherence to time, and in international trade, time is money. The very next milestone that the firm needs to work on is signing new investors for the project, who are intuitive enough to gauge the brand’s future and lend money. The company projects a 20 per cent growth in the two-wheeler sector in the upcoming decade.
