
India’s exports of aluminium (crude metal and alloys and semi-finished products) to the US totalled 10,800 tonnes in August 2019, unchanged from last month's data. Exports dropped by 29.41% from June’s exports of 15,300 tonnes, 53.85% from May’s exports of 23,400 tonnes, and 62.63% from April’s exports of 28,900 tonnes.

Crude metal and alloys and semi-finished products exports amounted to 158,000 tonnes in the first eight months of 2019, as updated by the US Census Bureau.
Exports of semi-finished products (plates, sheets, bars, etc.) to the US stood at 4,340 tonnes in August, with a month-on-month drop of 2.47%. India had exported 4,450 tonnes of these products in July 2019. Exports reduced by 17.49% from 5,260 tonnes in June, 25.56% from 5,830 tonnes in May and 0.46% from 4,360 tonnes in April. India exported 40,500 tonnes of semi-finished to the US in January-August.
Exports of crude metal and alloys increased by 1.73% month-on-month to 6,470 tonnes in August. Exports contract by 35.94% from June, 63.24% from May and 73.59% from April. Crude metal and alloys exports to the US came in at 117,000 tonnes in January-August.
