Notes:
There may be a difference when calculating the price with respect to
import volume, carbon price, and benchmark emissions, as the embedded
formula may result in minor variations due to decimal rounding.
Therefore, the actual value may vary.
CBAM is applicable to trade volumes starting from 50 metric tonnes. For trade volumes below 50 metric tonnes, CBAM does not apply.
Usage Procedure – How to use the CBAM Calculator Sheet
Enter or update values only in the
INPUT PARAMETERS section (Highlighted in blue) ,
including the carbon price, benchmark emissions, CBAM chargeable
percentage (as per the phase-in year), and imported quantity.
The system will automatically calculate the
payable emissions and the total CBAM cost (€)
based on the inputs provided.
Notes:
• Change any input value to automatically update CBAM cost.
• Formula used: Carbon price × payable emissions × quantity.
• Model aligned with CBAM supplier-side illustrative methodology.

IBAAS CHALIECO 2013 to be held in Nanning, China during November 2013
2MINS READ
International Bauxite, Alumina & Aluminium Society (IBAAS) announces the organization of second International event in Nanning, Guangxi, China during November 28 to 30, 2013 in cooperation with the CHALIECO. The title of the IBAAS – 2013 symposium is "Present Status and Future Prospects of Bauxite- Alumina-Aluminium Industry of the World, with Special Reference to China”. The symposium organizing committee is formulating a world class program focusing on key topics and issues in the bauxite, alumina and aluminium industry of the world highlighting the developments in China.
International Bauxite, Alumina & Aluminium Society (IBAAS) is a scientific and technical organization mainly set up for the development of Asian bauxite, alumina and aluminium industry. The objective of this society is to promote New Technological Developments and organize periodic symposia and meetings to highlight latest developments in the Aluminium Industry with special reference to the bauxite and alumina sector.
IBAAS has recently organised a three day symposium from Dec 3 to 5, 2012 in Nagpur. The theme of the Symposium was “Bauxite, Alumina and Aluminium Industry of Asia – Vision 2020” with special Sessions on “Non-metallurgical bauxites and alumina products” The response to our invitation for participation in the Symposium was overwhelming - over 120 delegates from Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Russia and USA participated in the symposium.
China continues to dominate the global aluminium industry, accounting for one-third of world production and world consumption of primary aluminium. China is self-sufficient in aluminium metal and is approaching self-sufficiency in alumina despite being a country without any bauxite reserve. So, the country becomes the perfect place for the next International Bauxite, Alumina & Aluminium Society (IBAAS). The industry can look forward to a good deal of participation from the global aluminium industry and get exposure to a number of latest development happening around the Bauxite- Alumina-Aluminium Industry globally and also in China.
