Enter your input
Notes:
There may be a difference when calculating the price with respect to
import volume, carbon price, and benchmark emissions, as the embedded
formula may result in minor variations due to decimal rounding.
Therefore, the actual value may vary.
CBAM is applicable to trade volumes starting from 50 metric tonnes. For trade volumes below 50 metric tonnes, CBAM does not apply.
Usage Procedure – How to use the CBAM Calculator Sheet
Enter or update values only in the
INPUT PARAMETERS section (Highlighted in blue) ,
including the carbon price, benchmark emissions, CBAM chargeable
percentage (as per the phase-in year), and imported quantity.
The system will automatically calculate the
payable emissions and the total CBAM cost (€)
based on the inputs provided.
Notes:
• Change any input value to automatically update CBAM cost.
• Formula used: Carbon price × payable emissions × quantity.
• Model aligned with CBAM supplier-side illustrative methodology.

IBAAS 2015 concludes pinning hopes on the Asian aluminium industry
2MINS READ
The 4th IBAAS Symposium ended successfully at Suzhou, China. On 27th November, the 3rd and final day, about 12 papers in 2 parallel sessions, 6 on alumina and 6 on downstream operations were presented. Topics covered were mainly on technological and process improvements in alumina refining, bauxite residue utilization and downstream operations.
Papers were presented by the representatives from JNARDDC, IBAAS, PRIMA RESOURCES, CHALIEACO etc. The papers presented revealed the wide knowledge base in the aluminium field and the environmental concerns and potential of improvements. Many Chinese presentations showed continuous efforts that are being made in this country to reduce the cost of production and to keep adding values to downstream products.
The organising committee then had a closing ceremony in which after a feedback from the participants thanked all the participants for their contributions and especially CHALIECO and SINR for their untiring efforts in efficient and successful organisation of the conference. It was informed that the next conference of 2016 may take place in India, the dates and venue for the same would be announced shortly by IBAAS organizers. Many delegates appreciated and recognized the value of this type of technical conference. The presence of about 180 delegates and enthusiasm shown by participants show that aluminium industry will remain viable in Asia despite present depressed alumina and aluminium market in the world.
