Heesen unveils its eighth superyacht Masa in 5000 Aluminium Class range

Heesen’s latest 50-metre superyacht named Masa has reportedly made a debut at a private ceremony in Oss. This is the eighth superyacht in the Dutch-based shipyard’s 5000 Aluminium Class range.

The interior of the yacht designed by Cristiano Gatto has light colours and silver detail that evoke a tranquil atmosphere inside. The vessel has a total accommodation capacity for 12 guests with five lower deck suites and a master stateroom on the main deck forward.

The exterior is designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. It has distinctive features such a pelican-beak bow with reverse sheer and a sporty mast.

“Masa’s beauty does not lie exclusively in her aesthetics – her 50-metre all-aluminium semi-displacement hull has been designed, engineered and welded by Heesen’s in-house team to the smallest tolerances,” explains a Heesen representative. He said, “With considered naval architecture and precision, lightweight aluminium construction, Masa will reach a rapid top speed of 23 knots thanks to two MTU 16V 4000 diesel engines. At 50m and coming in below 500gt, Masa perfectly combines performance, comfort, space, and refined luxury.”

For now, Masa will remain in the shipyard’s harbour basin for her final constructions and systems commissioning to be completed.

Heesen Yachts was the first Dutch shipyard to use aluminium for the yacht hulls. The foundation of the yacht dates back to 1978 by Frans Heesen in Oss.
