The structure of the green bond goes like this – SEK 400 million (USD 42.8 million) of the total amount is to carry a coupon of 3-month Stibor plus 1.25 per cent, and SEK 200 million (USD 21 million) carries a fixed coupon of 4.15 per cent. Proceeds obtained from it will be distributed among eligible green projects under the Gränges’ Green Finance Framework.
CFO Oskar Hellström noted strong investor interest, reflecting confidence in the company’s strategy and sustainability goals.
“We are pleased to once again see strong interest from our investor base. This reflects confidence in our strategic direction and sustainability ambitions,” he stated.
In parallel with the issuance, the company also repurchased part of its outstanding Sustainability-Linked Bond worth SEK 416 million (USD 44.5 million), due in September 2026. The bond issuance was headed by the Joint Lead Managers, Nordea and SEB.

FY25 saw the best results in sustainability in Gränges. Sourced recycled aluminium volumes reached a record 300 thousand tonnes, increasing 20 per cent year-on-year. Carbon emissions intensity dropped to 6.6 tonnes of carbon dioxide per tonne (Scope 1+2+3), a decrease of 12 per cent from 2024.
Additionally, the Gränges–Scandium Canada MoU supports sustainability by enabling lighter, high-strength aluminium alloys that reduce material use and improve energy efficiency in end applications. Integrating scandium into aluminium production, it enhances recyclability and lowers the overall environmental footprint of advanced manufacturing.
