Gilpin has successfully completed the acquisition of AMCLO, one of the largest independent producers of metal closures for composite cans, cores, and tubes. The deal encompasses AMCLO’s production equipment, inventory and established customer base.
As part of the acquisition plan, Gilpin has appointed Rayfield Metal Stamping – a subsidiary of Reynolds Services Inc. – its primary manufacturing partner. The AMCLO assets will be relocated to Rayfield’s Greenville, Pennsylvania, facility, where the production of a comprehensive AMCLO product range, such as custom metal caps, plugs, closures, and more, will begin immediately.
Gilpin will assume responsibility for all sales, marketing and supply chain management responsibilities for both existing and new customers. This approach is expected to ensure a seamless and uninterrupted transition of operations and service.
Paul McClure, Gilpin’s CEO, has described the acquisition as a “win-win” scenario for all parties while talking highly about the technical expertise of AMCLO and Gilpin’s comprehensive market reach.
He stated, “We are thrilled to integrate AMCLO’s specialist metal packaging solutions into Gilpin’s broader portfolio. This acquisition not only enhances our product offerings for current and future customers but also reinforces our commitment to US manufacturing and supply chain resilience. Through our partnership with Rayfield, we’re able to deliver even greater value and reliability to the market.”
Gilpin is already an established name in providing high-end packaging solutions that go far beyond standard e-commerce models. The company offers a consultative approach, which assists clients in sourcing and integrating a wide range of packaging types that include everything from metal ends, including aluminium containers, to thermoformed and injection moulded containers, labels and composite cans.
Since McClure acquired Gilpin in 2005, it has adopted significant steps to transform the company into a high-performing enterprise with almost eight-figure annual sales. Through diversification, the company has achieved an experienced global team and strategic industrial partnerships. Today, Gilpin’s customer base includes both small manufacturers and multinational packaging corporations, reinforcing its position as a leader in innovative and reliable packaging solutions.
