Notes:
There may be a difference when calculating the price with respect to
import volume, carbon price, and benchmark emissions, as the embedded
formula may result in minor variations due to decimal rounding.
Therefore, the actual value may vary.
CBAM is applicable to trade volumes starting from 50 metric tonnes. For trade volumes below 50 metric tonnes, CBAM does not apply.
Usage Procedure – How to use the CBAM Calculator Sheet
Enter or update values only in the
INPUT PARAMETERS section (Highlighted in blue) ,
including the carbon price, benchmark emissions, CBAM chargeable
percentage (as per the phase-in year), and imported quantity.
The system will automatically calculate the
payable emissions and the total CBAM cost (€)
based on the inputs provided.
Notes:
• Change any input value to automatically update CBAM cost.
• Formula used: Carbon price × payable emissions × quantity.
• Model aligned with CBAM supplier-side illustrative methodology.

GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST to return in Düsseldorf on June 25-29, 2019
2MINS READ
The dates for the mega trade fair quartet- GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST have been announced. The event combo, the biggest in the metallurgy and automation space covering aluminium industry, will be held at the same four-year interval in Germany's Düsseldorf from June 25-29 in 2019.
Requests from industrial exhibitors worldwide have already started pouring in numbers. Messe Düsseldorf Director Joachim Schäfer said: “For some time now, switching to a three-year interval has appeared to us to be necessary, because the innovation cycles in the foundry technology and metallurgy sectors are shortening too. It has proved to be the case that a shortening of the interval would put too much pressure on the corporate exhibitors. Since Messe Düsseldorf always acts in line with its customers’ requirements, it has decided to maintain the four-year interval with the four leading trade fairs GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST – at the request of large numbers of exhibitors.”
The four trade fairs produced exceptionally good results when they were held most recently: 78,000 visitors from more than 120 different countries came to Düsseldorf for GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST to experience what the 2,214 exhibitors had to offer from 16 to 20 June 2015. The exhibitors were delighted about the business transactions concluded with customers from all over the world. The trade fairs were once again considerably more international than at the previous event, with 56 per cent of the visitors and 51 per cent of the exhibitors coming from outside Germany this time.
It is expected, down four years, when the event quartet opens its doors to the international visitors, same response will be generated. Till that time, industries have to wait and prepare for the biggest show at the global networking platform.
