France export of Aluminium foil to top 5 countries in 2020

Aluminium is considered one of the most abundant metals on earth in the ore stage. Aluminium foil is a paper-thin, shiny sheet of aluminium metal, produced by rolling large slabs of aluminium until they are less than 0.2 mm thick. It has multiple utilities, which incorporates packing, insulation and transportation. At home, people use aluminium foil for food storage, to cover baking surfaces and to wrap foods, such as meats, to prevent them from losing moisture while cooking.

In 2020, France exported 70,618 tonnes of aluminium foil globally to around 103 countries, which accounted for revenue generation of $292.40 million, with a 19.04% growth in export volume and a 7.91% surge in earnings respectively on Y-o-Y.

The top 5 nations France exported aluminium foils in 2020 are the USA, Italy, UK, Ireland and Spain, However, all these 5 countries have absorbed 39,115 tonnes of French foil export out of 70,618 tonnes, making it 55.38% of the volume, while in earnings these 5 top nations contributed $146.35, which is 50.05% of the total revenue generation.

The United of America lead the race of French export of aluminium foil with 15,802 tonnes and earnings stood at $73.27, keeping the second in the list Italy far below at 6771 tonnes, with earnings at $20.76 million.

The United Kingdom remained as the third contender in the list of French export of aluminium foil to top 5 nation with 5936 tonnes and the earnings accounted to France was $19.25 million.

The 4^th and the 5^th position in the list are shared by another two European nations Ireland and Spain. The Irish import of French aluminium foil in 2020 stood at 5878 tonnes and the expenditure occurred by Ireland remained at $12.03 million, whereas the Spanish import of the same product from France was recorded at 4728 tonnes, but the expenditure counted to $21.04 million.
