Egypt Aluminum, the largest aluminium producer in Egypt and one of the largest in Africa, has reportedly announced its financial results for the first nine months of fiscal year 2024-2025 ended March 31.
In the first nine months of FY2024-25, the company posted an 89 per cent Y-o-Y increase in net profit after tax, which climbed to EGP 9.894 billion (US$ 194.91 million), up from EGP 5.227 billion (US$ 102.97 million) in the corresponding period last year.
One of the leading players in the aluminium industry, Egyptalum recorded revenues of EGP 32.062 billion (US$673.3 million) for the period from July 2024 to March 2025, up from EGP 22.460 billion (US$ 442.7 million) in the same nine months of the previous fiscal year.
With a robust financial performance, Egyptalum continues to strengthen its market position. In FY 2023-24, the company posted a net profit after tax of EGP 9.324 billion (US$ 183.68 million), marking a 60 per cent Y-o-Y increase from EGP 3.692 billion (US$ 72.73 million) in FY 2022-23. Revenues also saw significant growth, rising to EGP 32.815 billion (US$ 646.46 million) compared to EGP 22.045 billion in the previous fiscal year.
