EGA Spectro Alloys, a post-consumer aluminium scrap processor, has reaffirmed its local community focus by announcing USD 100,000 in holiday-season donations to 30 nonprofit and charitable organisations. This initiative is part of their annual “Giving Together” programme, under which employees help determine how the funds are distributed.

Each year, Spectro employees select organisations as recipients, giving staff a direct role to identify local causes for support. According to the company, this approach reflects its priority of acting as a responsible corporate neighbour and supporting organisations that address community needs.
“‘Giving Together’ is one of our favourite traditions at Spectro,” says Luke Palen, the EGA Spectro Alloys president. “Our employees care deeply about these causes, and we’re proud to support the organisations doing critical work in our community. On behalf of our entire team, congratulations to our beneficiary organisations, and thank you for the difference you make every day.”
Beyond charitable donations, EGA Spectro Alloys also announced the EGA Spectro Alloys Scholarship at Dakota County Technical College, committing USD 25,000 over five years. The annual award will support two students in construction and manufacturing programmes, with 10 students each receiving USD 2,500, supporting education pathways aligned with the manufacturing sector.
