EGA among 100 companies featuring on BCG Global Challengers report 2014

The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has come out with their sixth Global Challengers report for 2014 recently where EGA holds a place among the top 100 companies who are in a leadership position in key industries and important instruments for driving global economic growth.
Emirates Global Aluminium, formed in 2013 is among the top five primary aluminium producers in the world, churning out an annual production of 2.4 million tons despite being one of the youngest in the global aluminium industry.
EGA is a joint venture between Mubadala Development Company of Abu Dhabi and Investment Corporation of Dubai. The maximum share of the production, more than 90 percent is exported to over 350 customers across 70 countries in the world. With ownership of strategic bauxite mine and alumina refinery in Guinea, West Africa along with offices located abroad, EGA has a secure global recognition.
The BCG Global Challengers report recognizes innovative strategies, business models and challenges that are found in emerging markets and the report is created through an analytical study that studies the participant companies’ rapid success in developing capabilities beyond low-cost manufacturing.
