“It also contributes to rehabilitating the areas of the CBG concession which have already been serviced to increase the resilience of the ecosystem and populations in the face of climate change.”
The current year's campaign furnishes for the planting of a total of 121,000 plants on the Bidikoun plateaus, straddling Sangarédi and Télimélé. This campaign, like previous ones, will be carried out by local businesses, called All Small Businesses (TPEs). Johny Rabenantoandro, Head of Biodiversity at the Company said: “One of our current concerns is to ensure that all our efforts contribute to promoting sustainable development while contributing to the fight against global warming."

Local authorities and community representatives took part in the launch ceremony. Mr Mamadou Houdy Bah, Mayor of the Municipality of Sangarédi, was delighted with the scale and the potential benefits of the initiative in favour of local communities and the environment.
He stressed that: “We are more than satisfied with the rehabilitation actions undertaken by the CBG. We collaborate with the Company to bequeath to future generations a healthy and sustainable environment. The trees planted by CBG are fast-growing species and their choice was made taking into account their ecological, economic and therapeutic profitability.
