China’s SMM A00 aluminium price registers lowest price today at RMB18560/t; Low-carbon aluminium sheds RMB1/t

The Shanghai Metals Market, on December 6, has seen fluctuations in aluminium prices, with the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price remaining stagnant at RMB 18,560 per tonne. The average aluminium prices have circulated between RMB 18,540 per tonne and RMB 18,580 per tonne.

The SMM aluminium price has been recorded at the lowest for the year on December 5 and 6, with the average range being RMB 18,886.09 per tonne. There has been a Week-n-Week digression of RMB 210 per tonne or 1.11 per cent from RMB 18,770 per tonne registered on November 29.

China’s eight central provinces have all witnessed mixed price trends today, with the aluminium price rising the highest in Gongyi by RMB 20 per tonne, resting at RMB 18,690 per tonne, followed by a similar price range in Foshan after adding RMB 10 per tonne. The aluminium price in Tianjin also gained RMB 10 per tonne to officially close at RMB 18,620 per tonne. In Wuxi and Shenyang, the aluminium prices have decreased by RMB 10 per tonne, settling at RMB 18,540 per tonne and RMB 18,580 per tonne. In the remaining regions like Hangzhou, Chongqing and Linyi, there have been no noticeable changes, with the aluminium prices staying intact at RMB 18,560 per tonne, RMB 18,610 per tonne and RMB 18,640 per tonne.

China’s low-carbon aluminium price has shifted RMB 1 per tonne upward, closing at RMB 19,436 per tonne.

The aluminium powder price has shown no alteration at all.
