
The average alumina spot price in China has recorded a continued decline of RMB 55 per tonne to RMB 3,072 per tonne on Thursday, December 9, found the Shanghai Metals Market. In Shandong, the price has shrunk by RMB 75 per tonne to RMB 3,175 per tonne, while the price in Shanxi has dwindled by RMB 65 per tonne to stand at RMB 3,050 per tonne.

In Henan, the average alumina spot price has decreased by RMB 55 per tonne to peg at RMB 3,060 per tonne, followed by the fall of RMB 40 per tonne and RMB 30 per tonne in Guizhou and Guangxi, respectively, to close at RMB 3,200 per tonne and RMB 3,020 per tonne.
The Australian alumina FOB price has registered a drop of US$7 per tonne to US$360 per tonne on December 9 after a restraint at US$367 per tonne on December 8, learned SMM.
A00 aluminium ingot price in China has plunged by RMB 90 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,700 per tonne on Thursday, December 9, following a hike of RMB 100 per tonne on the previous day. According to SMM, the average prices are likely to range between RMB 18,680 per tonne and RMB 18,720 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 80-40 per tonne.

In Hangzhou and Foshan, A00 aluminium ingot price has decreased by RMB 115 per tonne and RMB 110 per tonne, respectively, to peg at RMB 18,675 per tonne and RMB 18,770 per tonne, while the price in Wuxi and Shenyang has slipped by RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 18,680 per tonne and RMB 18,660 per tonne. In Linyi and Tianjin, the primary aluminium ingot price has lessened by RMB 90 per tonne and RMB 80 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,780 per tonne and RMB 18,680 per tonne, respectively.
Among aluminium alloys, aluminium alloy (A356) price has nosedived by RMB 200 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,650 per tonne, as of Thursday, December 9. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 20,600 per tonne and RMB 20,700 per tonne, found SMM.

Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have, however, remained restrained at RMB 20,100 per tonne and RMB 21,300 per tonne, respectively.
