Average alumina spot price in China slips by RMB 52/t to close at RMB 3,020/t; A00 aluminium ingot price climbs up by RMB 80/t

On Friday, December 10, the average alumina spot price in China has slumped by RMB 52 per tonne or by 1.69 percent to settle at RMB 3,020 per tonne, found the Shanghai Metals Market.

The average alumina price in Henan and Shanxi has slipped by RMB 50 per tonne to settle at RMB 3,010 per tonne and RMB 3,000 per tonne. On the other hand in Shandong the price has dipped by RMB 75 per tonne to register in at RMB 3,100 per tonne, as of December 10. For provinces like Lianyungang and Bayuquan, the price has remained unchanged and totalled at RMB 3,150 per tonne and RMB 3,200 per tonne. The average alumina spot price in Guizhou has dropped by RMB 50 per tonne to come in at RMB 3,150 per tonne, while the price in Guangxi has dwindled by RMB 55 per tonne to close at RMB 2,965 per tonne.

The Australian alumina FOB price has gone up by US$5 per tonne to score at US$365 per tonne as of December 10.

On Friday, December 10, the price of A00 aluminium ingot has escalated by RMB 80 per tonne to close at RMB 18,780 per tonne. The average price for the same is expected to range between RMB 18,760 per tonne and RMB 18,800 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 80-40 per tonne, for the same day.

According to SMM, the price in Gongyi has surged by RMB 140 per tonne to close at RMB 18,890 per tonne. In Wuxi and Hangzhou the price has gone up by RMB 100 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,780 per tonne and RMB 18, 775 per tonne. In Foshan and Tianjin, the price has also increased by RMB 70 per tonne to total at RMB 18,840 per tonne and RMB 18,750 per tonne, as of December 10. In Chongqing and Shenyang the price has moved up by RMB 40 per tonne and RMB 80 per tonne to come in at RMB 18,840 per tonne and RMB 18,740 per tonne. In Linyi, the average A00 alumina ingot price has escalated by RMB 90 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,870 per tonne.

The aluminium alloy price (A356) has soared up by RMB 100 per tonne to close in at RMB 20,750 per tonne. The average price for the same is expected to orbit between RMB 20,700 per tonne and RMB 20,800 per tonne. Aluminium alloy (ADC12) and (A380) has remained the same. The price for the same has been recorded at RMB 20,100 per tonne and RMB 21, 300 per tonne, as of December 10.
