ASI welcomes China-based chemical alumina producer CHALCO as new Production and Transformation member

The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) has reportedly announced the joining of CHALCO Shandong Advanced Material Co., Ltd. to ASI as a new Production and Transformation member, which bring the total number of members to 206.

CHALCO Shandong Advanced Material Co., Ltd., founded in 1960, is located in Zibo, Shandong Province of China. The company is engaged in the production, research, and development of fine alumina series products and is committed to the research, development, production, and application of new environmentally friendly materials and advanced functional materials.

Currently, CHALCO Shandong’s annual production capacity of chemical alumina is at 1 million tonnes, including five series and more than 120 varieties products. The main five series products are: 4A zeolite, high whiteness aluminium hydroxide for filler, calcined a-alumina, pseudo-boehmite and superfine aluminium hydroxide.

All these products are sold to more than 50 countries and regions and widely used in sectors like daily chemicals, catalyst and catalyst carrier, PVC stabilizer,wire and cable, electrical materials, artificial stone, building materials, structural ceramics, grid materials, refractory, and other industries.
