China’s average alumina spot price and Shanxi’s bauxite price soars by RMB5/t; Aluminium ingot price earns RMB70/t today

The Shanghai Metal Market, today, on August 10, has noted an RMB 5 per tonne spike in China’s average alumina spot price, with it officially halting at RMB 2,901 per tonne, while in Shandong and Shanxi, the alumina spot prices have seen an increase of RMB 5 per tonne, closing at RMB 2,860 per tonne and RMB 2,920 per tonne, respectively.

In Guizhou, the alumina spot price has stepped up by RMB 10 per tonne to stop at RMB 2,890 per tonne. The Australian Alumina FOB price has seen a rise of RMB 14.32 per tonne to clock at RMB 2,447.90 per tonne.

The price of bauxite (6.0≤Al/Si＜7.0) in Shanxi has skipped up the SMM aluminium price index by RMB 5 per tonne to rest at RMB 615 per tonne, with average prices hovering between RMB 605 per tonne and RMB 625 per tonne. The bauxite (4.5≤Al/Si＜5.5) price in Shanxi has also earned RMB 10 per tonne to clock at RMB 470 per tonne, with average prices circulating between RMB 460 per tonne and RMB 480 per tonne.

As per the SMM market live price chart, China’s aluminium ingot price has soared by RMB 70 per tonne to officially close at RMB 18,540 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 18,520 per tonne and RMB 18,560 per tonne.

The eight central provinces in China all have witnessed escalating prices today, with the aluminium ingot price rising the highest in Hangzhou, Shenyang and Linyi by RMB 70 per tonne, to settle down at RMB 18,540 per tonne, RMB 18,490 per tonne and RMB 18,590 per tonne, respectively. In Gongyi, Foshan and Chongqing, the aluminium ingot prices have seen a levitation of RMB 60 per tonne to close at RMB 18,480 per tonne, RMB 18,510 per tonne and RMB 18,530 per tonne. Wuxi experienced a jump of RMB 50 per tonne to mark its aluminium ingot price at RMB 18,530 per tonne, while in Tianjin, the aluminium ingot price has gone up by RMB 20 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,510 per tonne.

China’s price of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and the price of high-purity aluminium (99.996%) have both gained RMB 100 per tonne to officially approach RMB 26,100 per tonne and RMB 27,100 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has escalated by RMB 50 per tonne to fixate at RMB 19,150 per tonne, while the price of aluminium alloy (A360) has seen an addition of RMB 100 per tonne to arrive at RMB 19,650 per tonne.

The price of aluminium powder hikes by RMB 0.10 per kg to officially rest at RMB 20.40 per kg, with average prices ranging between RMB 20.30 per kg and RMB 20.50 per kg.
