
China’s average alumina spot price has recorded a dip of RMB 2 per tonne to close the week on Friday, November 27, at RMB 2,281 per tonne, according to the Shanghai Metals Market. The price has recorded a change today after remaining restrained for the last two consecutive days on November 25 & 26. However, today, except for Guizhou and Guangxi, average alumina spot price has remained muted in Shandong, Henan, and Shanxi. In Guangxi and Guizhou, average alumina spot price has dropped by RMB 10 per tonne and RMB 5 per tonne to stand, respectively, at RMB 2,290 per tonne and RMB 2,295 per tonne.

Imported alumina price and Australian alumina FOB price have also registered no change from RMB 2,310 per tonne and US$ 283 per tonne, respectively.
Despite the loss of average alumina spot price, A00 aluminium ingot price has soared by RMB 200 per tonne to stand at 16,330 per tonne, as of November 27. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 16,310 per tonne and RMB 16,350 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 120-160 per tonne, up by RMB 20 per tonne from November 26.
In Gongyi, A00 aluminium ingot price has increased by RMB 250 per tonne to RMB 16,240 per tonne, followed by the hike of RMB 210 per tonne in Foshan and Wuxi to RMB 16,440 per tonne and RMB 16,370 per tonne, respectively. In Shenyang, the price has surged by RMB 205 per tonne to RMB 16,295 per tonne, while that in Hangzhou increased by RMB 200 per tonne to RMB 16,430 per tonne.
Backed on the hike in primary aluminium ingot price, the price of aluminium alloy (A356) has jumped by RMB 250 per tonne to stand above RMB 17,000 per tonne. The price is hovering at RMB 17,050 per tonne on November 27, with average prices expected to trade between RMB 17,000 per tonne and RMB 17,100 per tonne.
The prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have grown by RMB 50 per tonne to come in at RMB 15,850 per tonne and RMB 16,750 per tonne, respectively.
