China’s alumina imports in October 2021 climb up 26% M-o-M to 219,400 tonnes

According to the recent data shown by China Customs, the country exported 5,700 tonnes of alumina in October 2021. That brought China’s total alumina exports from January to October to 108,100 tonnes.
In October 2021, China imported 219,400 tonnes of alumina, which reflected a year-on-year decrease of 39.28 per cent. But on a month-on-month calculation, the imports increased by 25.99 per cent.
Total imports from January to October amounted to 2.91 million tonnes, down by 7.46 per cent year-on-year.
China’s net imports of alumina stood at 213,700 tonnes in October and totalled 2.81 million tonnes in the first ten months of the year.
