China’s A00 aluminium price faces a huge slump of RMB790/t resting at RMB18240/t; Alumina price in Shanxi records RMB5/t hike

A00 aluminium ingot price in China has witnessed a massive plunge of RMB 790 per tonne on July 6, Wednesday. According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the price has precisely settled at RMB 18,240 per tonne, with average prices estimated to range between RMB 18,220 per tonne and RMB 18,260 per tonne and spot contracts to be traded at a discount price of RMB 10 per tonne and RMB 50 per tonne.

The primary aluminium ingot price in Foshan has recorded a maximum decrease of RMB 810 per tonne to RMB 18,200 per tonne, followed by an RMB 800 per tonne decline in Chongqing to RMB 18,260 per tonne. In Wuxi, the A00 aluminium ingot price has nosedived by RMB 790 per tonne to come in at RMB 18,230 per tonne. The price in Hangzhou has suffered a loss of RMB 780 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,280 per tonne. In Linyi and Gongyi the primary aluminium ingot prices have witnessed an RMB 740 per tonne downfall to settle at RMB 18,290 per tonne and RMB 18,190 per tonne, respectively, noted SMM on Wednesday, July 6. In the Chinese province of Shenyang, the aluminium price stood at RMB 18,270 per tonne after shedding RMB 720 per tonne. The price of A00 aluminium ingot price dropped the lowest in Tianjin by RMB 640 per tonne, closing at RMB 18,290 per tonne.

Today in China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has shrunk by RMB 826 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,798 per tonne.

According to data shown by SMM, the high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and the high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have plummeted by RMB 800 per tonne to stop at RMB 26,300 per tonne and RMB 27,300 per tonne, respectively.

Among input costs, the average alumina spot price in China has escalated by RMB 1 per tonne closing at RMB 2,958 per tonne. The price of alumina in Shanxi has expanded by RMB 5 per tonne to settle at RMB 2,880 per tonne.

Today, due to the declining primary aluminium ingot price, the aluminium alloy (A356) price has faced a sharp downward inclination of RMB 800 per tonne, arriving at RMB 19,300 per tonne. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 19,200 per tonne and RMB 19,400 per tonne, says SMM.

The prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have slumped by RMB 300 per tonne to close at RMB 18,700 per tonne and RMB 19,700 per tonne, respectively. The average prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) are expected to hover between RMB 18,600 per tonne and RMB 18,800 per tonne, while the average prices of aluminium alloy (A380) are like to range between RMB 19,600 per tonne and RMB 19,800 per tonne.

The aluminium powder price in China has lost RMB 0.80 per kg to settle at RMB 20.10 per kg, with average prices ranging between RMB 20 per kg and 20.20 per kg.
