China’s A00 aluminium ingot price stoops down by RMB20/t to RMB20820/t; Alumina price dips by RMB1/t

A00 aluminium ingot price has dropped by RMB 20 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,820 per tonne on Tuesday, June 7, after a day of sizeable price rise, as noted by the Shanghai Metals Market (SMM). The average price of aluminium ingots are estimated to range between RMB 20,800 per tonne and RMB 20,840 per tonne, with spot contracts to be traded at a discount price of RMB 70 per tonne and RMB 30 per tonne.

The primary aluminium ingot price has witnessed the highest slump in Gongyi by RMB 40 per tonne to stop at RMB 20,750 per tonne today. The other provinces like Wuxi, Foshan, and Shenyang have suffered an RMB 20 per tonne cut to rest at RMB 20,790 per tonne, RMB 20,770 per tonne, and RMB 20,760 per tonne, respectively.

In Hangzhou the aluminium ingot price has dipped by RMB 10 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,830 per tonne. Only Chongqing has witnessed a price expansion of RMB 40 per tonne, resulting in RMB 20,830 per tonne. A00 aluminium ingot price in Tianjin has also decreased by RMB 20 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,770 per tonne.

In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has shrunk by RMB 20 per tonne as well to stand at RMB 21,384 per tonne on June 7.

The average alumina spot price in China has inched down by RMB 1 per tonne to rest at RMB 2,986 per tonne, and particularly in Guizhou, it has fallen by RMB 20 per tonne to halt at RMB 2,990 per tonne.

The Australian alumina FOB price has declined by US$ 2 per tonne to close at US$ 353 per tonne, found SMM.

Today, although there are declines in primary aluminium ingot prices, aluminium alloy (A356), aluminium alloy (ADC12), and aluminium alloy (A380) have recorded no alteration in respective prices. 

Among other primary aluminium input costs, bauxite price has continued to remain restrained at RMB 580 per tonne and aluminium powder price at RMB 22.7 per kg.
