China’s A00 aluminium ingot price slips by RMB90/t to settle at RMB22590/t; Aluminium alloy(A356) price declines by RMB100/t

According to the Shanghai Metals Market, A00 aluminium ingot price in China has slipped by RMB 90 per tonne, following a hike last day. Thus, the price has come in at RMB 22,590 per tonne on Wednesday, February 16. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 22,570 per tonne and RMB 22,610 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 40-0 per tonne.

In Chongqing, A00 aluminium ingot price has decreased by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 22,580 per tonne, followed by the decline of RMB 90 per tonne in Wuxi to RMB 22,590 per tonne. In Hangzhou and Linyi, primary aluminium ingot price has plunged by RMB 85 per tonne and RMB 70 per tonne to close at RMB 22,600 per tonne and RMB 22,640 per tonne, respectively. In Foshan, A00 aluminium ingot price has shrunk by RMB 60 per tonne to settle at RMB 22,700 per tonne, while the price in Shenyang and Tianjin has pegged at RMB 22,590 per tonne by losing RMB 90 per tonne as well.

Aluminium alloy (A356) price has declined by RMB 100 per tonne to come in at RMB 23,950 per tonne as of February 16, 2022. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 23,900 per tonne and RMB 24,000 per tonne.

In regards to input costs, the average alumina spot price has inched up by RMB 2 per tonne to settle at RMB 3,305 per tonne. In Guizhou, the price has gained RMB 10 per tonne to stand at RMB 3,300 per tonne, with average prices likely to hover around RMB 3,280-3,320 per tonne.

The Australian alumina FOB price has increased by US$5 per tonne to score at US$398 per tonne as of February 16.

Among other raw materials costs, aluminium power price has climbed marginally by RMB 0.10 per kg to stand at RMB 24.65 per kg. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 24.6-24.7 per kg.
