China’s A00 aluminium ingot price sheds RMB60/t; Bauxite price falls in Shanxi by RMB2.5/t

A00 aluminium ingot price has decreased by RMB 60 per tonne to close at RMB 18,580 per tonne, as the Shanghai Metals Market recorded on Thursday, October 27. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,560 per tonne and RMB 18,600 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at the discount price of RMB 40 per tonne.

The provinces in China have witnessed declining prices today, with the A00 aluminium ingot price dropping the highest in Tianjin by RMB 140 per tonne to stop at RMB 18,550 per tonne, followed by RMB 90 per tonne fall in Gongyi and Shenyang resting at RMB 18,500 per tonne and RMB 18,550 per tonne, respectively. In Foshan, the aluminium price came in at RMB 18,720 per tonne with a downfall of RMB 80 per tonne, whereas in Chongqing, the price dropped by RMB 70 per tonne to RMB 18,700 per tonne. In provinces like Wuxi, Hangzhou and Linyi, the aluminium prices stood at RMB 18,550 per tonne, RMB 18,600 per tonne and RMB 18,580 per tonne, with a fall of RMB 60 per tonne.

In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has shed RMB 87 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,323 per tonne on Thursday, October 27.

The price of bauxite in Shanxi has dropped by RMB 2.5 per tonne to RMB 437.5 per tonne, while in Henan and Guizhou, it also registered similar cuts stopping at RMB 455 per tonne and RMB 345 per tonne.

The average alumina price in China has lost RMB 2 per tonne coming in at RMB 2,792 per tonne on October 27. The alumina prices in Shandong and Guangxi slumped by RMB 5 per tonne to close at RMB 2,735 per tonne and RMB 2,745 per tonne. The alumina price in Guizhou has decreased by RMB 10 per tonne to rest at RMB 2,730 per tonne.

The aluminium alloy (A356) price has slipped down the graph by RMB 50 per tonne arriving at RMB 19,950 per tonne. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 19,800 per tonne and RMB 20,100 per tonne, says SMM.

The aluminium powder price in China has lost RMB 0.10 per kg, to settle at RMB 20.50 per kg with average prices ranging between RMB 20.40 per tonne and RMB 20.60 per tonne.
