China’s A00 aluminium ingot price rallies up by RMB140/t to RMB18000/t; Low carbon aluminium gains RMB170/t

A00 aluminium ingot price has escalated by RMB 140 per tonne, resting at RMB 18,000 per tonne, as the Shanghai Metals Market recorded on Tuesday, January 10. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 17,980 per tonne and RMB 18,020 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at discount prices of RMB 90 per tonne and RMB 50 per tonne.

The provinces in China all have seen elevating prices today, with the aluminium price rising the highest in Foshan by RMB 170 per tonne, closing at RMB 18,020 per tonne. In Wuxi, the price of aluminium has spiked by RMB 145 per tonne to halt at RMB 17,995 per tonne. The price of aluminium in Hangzhou has shot up by RMB 120 per tonne, stopping at RMB 18,010 per tonne. In Gongyi and Chongqing, the prices of aluminium have gained RMB 110 per tonne, pausing at RMB 17,840 per tonne and RMB 18,040 per tonne, respectively. The prices of aluminium in Tianjin and Linyi have levitated by RMB 90 per tonne each, closing at RMB 18,050 per tonne in each province. The price of aluminium in Shenyang has seen an addition of RMB 70 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,000 per tonne.

In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has seen a hike of RMB 170 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,602 per tonne on Tuesday, January 10.

The prices of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) have both escalated by RMB 200 per tonne coming in at RMB 26,000 per tonne and RMB 27,000 per tonne.

The average alumina spot price in China has recorded a rise of RMB 1 per tonne, officially closing at RMB 2,930 per tonne, while the price of alumina in Guangxi has gone up the graph by RMB 5 per tonne to RMB 2,865 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has seen a rise of RMB 150 per tonne closing at RMB 19,150 per tonne, whereas the price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have each witnessed a surge of RMB 100 per tonne, settling down at RMB 19,250 per tonne and RMB 20,250 per tonne.

Future of the Global Aluminium Castings Industry

The price of aluminium powder in China has jumped by RMB 0.10 per kg, closing at RMB 19.70 per kg, with average prices hovering between RMB 19.60 per kg and RMB 19.80 per kg.
