LME aluminium price expands by US$94/t to US$2336.50/t; SHFE price ascends by US$38/t
LME aluminium opened at US$2,313 per tonne on Monday and closed at US$2,425 per tonne, an increase of US$129.5 per tonne or 5.64 per cent.
On Monday, January 9, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price expanded by US$94 per tonne or 4.19 per cent to settle at US$2,336 per tonne and US$2,336.50 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price shot up by US$94 per tonne or 4.13 per cent and US$95 per tonne or 4.17 per cent to stand at US$2,368 per tonne and US$2,370 per tonne.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price surged by US$85 per tonne to halt at US$2,545 per tonne and US$2,550 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock came in at 422075 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants clocked at 200300 tonnes and 221775 tonnes.
3-month Asian Reference Price hiked by US$49.9 per tonne or 2.18 per cent to reside at US$2,334.37 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On Tuesday, January 10, the SHFE benchmark aluminium price has increased by US$38 per tonne or 1.44 per cent to stop at US$2,334.37 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2302 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,050 per tonne during the night session before closing at RMB 18,215 per tonne, up RMB 300 per tonne or 1.67 per cent.

The most-traded SHFE 2302 aluminium closed up 0.48 per cent or RMB 85 per tonne at RMB 17,950 per tonne, with open interest down 7,194 lots to 164,277 lots.
