China’s A00 aluminium ingot price halts at RMB22030/t, a rise of RMB230/t; Alumina spot price inches up by RMB2/t

China’s A00 aluminium ingot price has been on the rise since Wednesday, April 13. Based on the data from the Shanghai Metals Market, the price for today (Tuesday, April 19) has stopped at RMB 22,030 per tonne, recording a rise of RMB 230 per tonne. The average price for the same is expected to hover between RMB 22,010 per tonne and RMB 22,050 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 70-30 per tonne.

The A00 aluminium ingot price in Gongyi and Hangzhou has augmented by RMB 230 per tonne to score at RMB 22,010 per tonne and RMB 22,150 per tonne. For the same day in Foshan and Chongqing, the price has shown growth by RMB 210 per tonne to settle at RMB 22,140 per tonne and RMB 22,060 per tonne. In Wuxi and Shenyang, the A00 aluminium ingot price has hiked by RMB 225 per tonne and RMB 180 per tonne to stop at RMB 22,025 per tonne and RMB 21,980 per tonne. The price in Tianjin and Linyi has shot up by RMB 230 per tonne and RMB 240 per tonne to halt at RMB 22,010 per tonne and RMB 22,140 per tonne.

The average alumina spot price has inched up by RMB 2 per tonne to total at RMB 2,999 per tonne. According to SMM, the alumina spot price in most of the provinces has remained unchanged, except Henan. The price in Henan has ascended by RMB 5 per tonne to come in at RMB 3,040 per tonne. In Shandong, Shanxi and Guizhou the price has showed no change to peg at RMB 2,975 per tonne, RMB 2,965 per tonne and RMB 3,025 per tonne. For the same day in Guangxi, Lianyungang and Bayuquan, the price has also remained restrained to total at RMB 2,990 per tonne, RMB 3,100 per tonne and RMB 3,175 per tonne.

Aluminium alloy (ADC12) price and (A380) price has increased by RMB 50 per tonne to score at RMB 21,900 per tonne and RMB 22,900 per tonne. The average price for (ADC12) is expected to range between RMB 21,800 per tonne and RMB 22,000 per tonne. As of today, the average price for (A380) is expected to hover between RMB 22,800 per tonne and RMB 23,000 per tonne.

Aluminium alloy (A356) price has soared up by RMB 200 per tonne to register at RMB 23,250 per tonne, with average prices likely to orbit between RMB 23,100 per tonne and RMB 23,400 per tonne.
