China’s A00 aluminium ingot price elevates by RMB350/t; Alumina price in Henan records RMB10/t rise

A00 aluminium ingot price has seen an RMB 350 per tonne augmentation to close at RMB 18,480 per tonne, as recorded by the Shanghai Metals Market on Wednesday, August 17. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,460 per tonne and RMB 18,500 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at a discount price of RMB 20 per tonne and a premium price of RMB 20 per tonne.
The provinces in China have witnessed a hike in aluminium prices today, with A00 aluminium ingot price rising the highest in Wuxi by RMB 360 per tonne to RMB 18,470 per tonne, followed by RMB 350 per tonne rise in Hangzhou to RMB 18,510 per tonne. The primary aluminium prices in Gongyi, Foshan and Linyi escalated by RMB 330 per tonne to close at RMB 18,420 per tonne, RMB 18,350 per tonne and RMB 18,530 per tonne. The primary aluminium price in Chongqing has gained RMB 270 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,420 per tonne, while Shenyang has witnessed RMB 260 per tonne hike to RMB 18,430 per tonne, and Tianjin reported a spike of RMB 250 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,430 per tonne, as well.
In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has expanded by RMB 330 per tonne to stop at RMB 18,953 per tonne on Wednesday, August 17.
According to the data shown by SMM, high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have been escalated by RMB 300 per tonne each to rest at RMB 26,600 per tonne and RMB 27,600 per tonne, respectively.
Among input prices, the price of alumina has seen an RMB 3 per tonne rise to rest at RMB 2,959 per tonne. The alumina price in Shandong has declined by RMB 15 per tonne to RMB 2,935 per tonne on August 17, while the alumina price in Shanxi gained RMB 5 per tonne to close at RMB 2,915 per tonne. The alumina price in Guangxi fell by RMB 10 per tonne to halt at RMB 2,960 per tonne, followed by a rise of RMB 10 per tonne in Henan to RMB 3,025 per tonne.
The aluminium alloy (A356) price has shot up by RMB 450 per tonne arriving at RMB 19,700 per tonne. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 19,600 per tonne and RMB 19,800 per tonne, says SMM.
The prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have heightened by RMB 50 per tonne coming in at RMB 18,850 per tonne and RMB 19,850 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) hovered between RMB 18,750 per tonne and RMB 18,950 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloy (A380) hit the RMB 19,750 per tonne to RMB 19,950 per tonne range.
The aluminium powder price in China has gained RMB 0.30 per kg to settle at RMB 20.40 per kg, with average prices ranging between RMB 20.30 per kg and 20.50 per kg.
